Carnaval Lounge reverts to Siberia

Back in Summer of 2019, Siberia switched ownership and took on a new persona—that of Carnaval Lounge. With the new name came a brighter interior and a colorful exterior painted by muralist and artist Lana Guerra, who goes by Crude Things.
Then on July 24, 2022, it was announced on the Instagram account–which has changed names along with the venue–that Carnaval is closed and would re-open as Siberia. On Friday, August 12, the new owners came through on that promise. In addition to replacing signage and decor, the colorful Crude Things artwork has been scrubbed from the sidewalk and a new darker mural featuring a mammoth has gone up.
