According to Banks Street Bar's official Instagram account, all staff has been fired and the bar is closed for two days. Additionally, new HR policies have been enacted allowing managers but not staff to be "stoned at work", "bc we can handle it, sorry", according to a post on the Instagram account.

The drama has unfolded on Instagram and rippled onto Reddit, Facebook, and the local gossip chambers. Many loyal patrons are questioning if they will ever visit the venue again. Fallout from the new management's decision has also carried over to Google and Yelp reviews. Each platform has been flooded with 1-star reviews for Banks Street, with their Yelp rating dropping to 3 stars.

One reviewer, Sophie B., writes "An establishment is only as good as it treats their employees. To have a whole crew of talented, knowledgeable, and dedicated employees be terminated with less than a days notice in the name of rebranding your bar is flat out spineless and pathetic to say the least. Thankfully there's plenty of other bars in nola that my friends and I will happily take our patronage to."
