Interior and exterior repairs to existing multi-family structure. Phase One Structural Repairs: Per drawings submitted, I am applying to repair and replace the burned section of the roof structure and then reroof the entire building with a reinforced asphalt shingle system. In the fire, the center third of the building had the roof structure compromised with the front third and the rear third of the building not burned. The fire was contained to one room on the second floor and some porch roof damage. The building walls are solid brick and were not damaged due to the fire. The permit will be to reconstruct the roof to match the existing slope and hip of the roof. Once the structure has been reworked, then the entire remaining existing roof will be reroofed with a reinforced "architectural" shingle roof system to meet city of New Orleans standards. As part of the work, the fascia boards on the side of the hipped roof will be replaced where burned and half-round gutters will be reset or replaced in the are where they were fire damage. Any work wood work will match existing profiles of trim. As part of this work, some of the brick will be tuck pointed and reparge coated while accessible from the work from scaffolding. One window which was damaged will be infilled temporarily with a translucent plastic panel till it can be replaced in the next phase. The next phase will be applied for in the next month which will be to allow for the finishing of the building and an appRef code 2UHJHQ
