Keep all copper internal gutter troughs, parapet caps and associated flashings in place. Flash
all laps of the gutter trough using 12” wide uncured EPDM. Remove six (6) chimneys and
replace the gutter troughs, parapet caps and all other associated roofing components with like
kind 16 ounce copper conforming to ASTM B 370 copper to match existing contours and
dimensions. All missing and/or damaged parapet caps, flashings, etc. are to be replaced with
like kind.
The roof is to be dried in using Type II synthetic underlayment (per ASTM D226 and local codes)
to the existing roof decking. All staples, nails and old underlayment are to be removed prior to
the installation of the new underlayment. The existing underlayment may stay in place if fully
adhered and removing would create an uneven substrate due to difficulty of removing all in its
entirety. All underlayment as specified above is to be covered with a double layer of 30 lb.felt. Slate shingles are to be installed in the pattern recommended by the manufacturer. Installation
