VCC General Work Permit

Renovation to address demolition by neglect and work without permit cited in VCC violation case #23-05883-VCCNOP, per attached materials stamped VCC approved 02/08/2024, including (but not limited to) mechanical equipment retention on roof and removal of non-structural ties at rear.
Repoint masonry utilizing mortar mixed and applied per the VCC standard detail sheet (attached). Any deteriorated, cracked, or broken bricks shall be replaced to match existing in color, size, material, porosity, detail, profile and exposure. All reinstalled masonry must be properly "toothed in" to existing masonry wall, using VCC mortar formula (attached).
All mortar to be mixed using the VCC recipe (attached) with a maximum of 1 part Portland Cement, to 3 parts lime, to 9 parts sand, and enough water to form a workable mix. Prepackaged mixes are not permitted. The resulting mix should range in color from off-white to beige but should not be grey or white in color.
Sound stucco and replace delaminated or missing stucco as needed, per attached standard detail sheet. Finish, color, texture, etc. to match existing. Lath or adherents of any kind are prohibited unless preapproved by VCC staff prior to installation.

NOTE: Permit issued in response to violations. Work shall commence within 30 days from the date of permit issuance. Work must be completed no more than 60 days after work begins. Owner will call VCC for final inspection upon completion of work. Penalty fees may apply because of im
