Remove all roofing materials and properly dispose of. Provide two (2) layers of insulation, one which is 2" and the top layer of 1.5” (LTTR equals R-
21.1 or per the local code) polyisosanurate insulation (joints staggered).
Adhere insulation with low rise adhesive (thickness as denoted above) adhered in accordance
to the manufacturer's recommendations, the attached ‘Low Rise Adhesive Securement Table’
and in accordance with Factory Mutual. Refer to Factory Mutual Loss Prevention Data
Sheets 1-28 and 1-29 (most current edition) for the adhesion recommendations based upon the
zone and building height.
The low-rise adhesive is to rise above the board stock 1/8” to ¼” above the substrate.
Adjustment to the height of the rise may be necessary. The surface must be free of loose
gravel, dirt, debris, oil, grease, and standing water. A pull test is required to confirm the
adhesion. Furnish and install 2-ply, white granular surfaced, torch applied, SBS modified bitumen
roofing system in strict accordance with drawings and specifications as approved by
Manufacturer. System to consist of the one layer of SBS Glass Torch Base and one layer of the SBS Ultra
White FR Torch. The metal edge detail at the penthouse is to consist of a 4” x 3” 24 Ga. pre-finished (same
color as existing) drip edge using a 22 gauge continuous cleat complete with backer plates and
