Retention Permit for A/C Unit, It was like this when I bought the house in May 2016, no violations were disclosed. I will upload pictures, you can't actually see the unit unless you walk on my neighbor's property and look up. I don't have any where else for it to go, there's no side yard on either side. The back yard is very small, there is an Outlet and the Water-Hose connection on one side and the other side is the access to the side alley which is about 18 inches wide. If you're looking straight on from the front, the only A/C unit you can see is the one on a neighbors house in their backyard, which is also raised and in plain sight. Please may I keep my A/C unit as is. I'm trying to get Solar installed and some violations came to surface. I fixed the light violation and then spent $1.675 on new HDLC approved porch railings and hand rails. If I were to have to move the A/C unit and pay for new duct work, I would not be able to go forward with the Solar Plans, which I've already sign for a loan on and paid a down payment of $5,000 on. Moving the A/C unit would mean I couldn't afford to do Solar with my budget. Just a little insight as to why I really want to do sola: I live alone with my dogs and cats, I was widowed less than 2 years ago when my husband died suddenly of a heart attack. I would feel safer with in my house with Solar and a back up Battery for Storm prep or outages, I don't have a yard big enough for a generator and would just want to make sure I have access
