VCC General Work Permit

Permit is being requested for mechanical renovation and upgrade project at the W Hotel French Quarter located at 316 Chartres St. New Orleans LA 70130. The scope of the project is limited to the replacement of existing HVAC equipment. The HVAC upgrade project work will take place in small interior areas of the building only. Three existing fan coil units will located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors will be replaced with new units of similar configuration. Additionally, one new fan coil unit shall be installed at the 5th floor of the hotel. The new units will be outside air processing units utilizing the existing chilled water systems for cooling and electric heat. All mechanical equipment shall be fully accessible for service and maintenance via large existing or new access panels. There is also a small component of the scope where a testing, adjusting, and balancing contractor shall measure the exhaust flow of all the existing terminals in the hotel. This scope is limited only to measurement and collection of the exhaust system performance as currently operating. The TAB data and reporting shall be used for a future project at a later date not associated with this work.
