Renovation (Structural) Permit
The building at 709 Tchoupitoulas will be connected to the existing restaurant and bar, Lucy’s, at 701 Tchoupitoulas. Its new use will be mixed with commercial on the first and second, and residential on the third. A new gallery will be installed across the front of the building.Ref code K80KBJ
The work will consist of a new bar at the front of the building, as well as a new bar at the courtyard. A catering kitchen and a new full service kitchen with a new exhaust hood will be installed. New ADA restrooms will be provided on the first and second floor. Also at the first floor, the former overhead door will be reconstructed and a new glass overhead door installed. A second such door will also be installed at the Tchoupitoulas Street facade. A new concrete floor slabs will be installed after the removal of the existing.
A new exterior gallery will be constructed at the second floor level, with two doors for access. A new 2,100 pound capacity elevator will also provide serving the first and second floors.
All finishes will be new.
Third floor white box for future residential build-out.
