Remove vegetation from masonry. Cut vegetation down and apply a weed and grass killer.
Remove dead roots after 1-2 days. Install new VCC mortar (formula attached) as needed where deteriorated
Remove delaminated stucco as needed. Repoint underlying masonry utilizing mortar mixed and applied per the VCC standard detail sheet (attached).
Any deteriorated, cracked, or broken bricks shall be replaced to match existing in color, size, material, porosity, detail, profile and exposure. All reinstalled masonry must be properly "toothed in" to existing masonry wall, using VCC mortar formula (attached).
VOIDS IN THE BRICK ARE NOT TO BE FILLED WITH MORTAR. BROKEN, DETERIORATED BRICKS MUST BE REPLACED WITH BRICKS MATCHING THE PREVIOUS.
All mortar to be mixed using the VCC recipe (attached) with a maximum of 1 part Portland Cement, to 3 parts lime, to 9 parts sand, and enough water to form a workable mix. Prepackaged mixes are not permitted. The resulting mix should range in color from off-white to beige but should not be grey in color.
Apply VCC stucco formula (attached). Lath of any kind is prohibited unless preapproved by VCC staff prior to installation. Final stucco finish and texture to match existing. Paint to match existing color and finish.
Failure to exactly match materials, paint color, or VCC mortar as specified in permit will result in a VCC violation and mandated repair of improper work.
