Renovation (Non-Structural) Permit

This scope of work includes an interior office suite buildout of an existing commercial lease space at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter Hotel. The scope is a continuation of work from abandoned permit #19-02282-RNVN and it involves limited demolition of interior wall components, acoustic ceiling, and MEP systems. New wall, floor, and ceiling finishes will be installed as well as modifications to existing mechanical and electrical systems. The existing fire sprinkler system will be modified to be compatible with new wall layouts, where applicable. Existing fire pump to remain. There is to be no exterior scope. Existing emergency egress paths and life safety systems are to remain accessible and operational during construction. When originally converted to a hotel in 1995, the work was permitted under the 1991 Edition of the Standard Building Code and the 1991 Edition of the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101). Certificates of Occupancy were issued based on compliance with those codes in place at the time of construction permitting.
