VCC General Work Permit

MAIN HOUSE ONLY:
FORTIFIED ROOF
remove existing roofing material
replace any wood sheeting and instll new wood decking
intall new ice ad water sheild
renail all deckng materials with galvanized ring shank nails
install new copper 26 gauge drip edge flashing
install new copper flashing
insall new Vermont Slate 12"x18" (gray/ green) in color
install new lead plumbing vents in existing locations
Install/reinstall ceramic or concrete V-style or terra cotta ridge tiles.
Metal cap-flashing on parapets or chimneys is not allowed
Rubber mastic and liquid applied waterproofing/sealants are not allowed on parapet walls or parapet caps unless explicitly permitted
THIS PERMIT IS NOT COVER NEW GUTTERS OR DOWNSPOUTS. ALL TO REMAIN.
FLAT ROOF PORTIONS ONLY:
Gaco silicone application, flat roofs only. MUST BE GRAY IN COLOR and MATTE FINISH. NOT TO BE used on masonry, shingles, etc. Only on the flat roof and up the inside of the parapet. NOT to be used on top of parapet.
Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs. All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines. Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding wall. Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
All repair/replacement work shall match existing in color, size, material, detail, profile and exposure.
