VCC General Work Permit

Replacing only main bulidng roof and attached dependcy roof with slate under this application.
Remove and replace imitation slate with new Vermont Semi Weathering Gray/Green Slate 12" x 18" using copper nails
replace underlayment as necessary
To fabricate and install all new copper step flashing, copper drip edge, copper valleys, copper apron falshings, copper chimney flashings and copper counter flashing
Install/reinstall ceramic or concrete V-style or terra cotta ridge tiles. Replace broken tiles as needed, to match existing.
Metal cap-flashing on the parapets or chimneys is not allowed
middle contecting roof over exterior stairs will be standing seam copper (previously approved)
Flat roof/ deck will be replaced with Gray TPO membrane.
unpermitted metal cap flashing on main roof is to be removed and replacd with mortar cap
Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs. All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines. Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls. Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
All repair/replacement work shall match existing in color, size, material, detail, profile and exposure.
