VCC General Work Permit

To install a new slate roof as per materials stamped VCC approved 04/15/2026. Work includes:
• Remove existing Fire Free Plus roofing material
• Repair and/or replace underlayment as necessary
• Install new ¬¬¬natural slate (grey/green), using copper nails
• Repair half round copper gutters and flashing
• Retain and reinstall ceramic V-style ridge tiles. Replace broken tiles as needed, to match existing.
• Metal cap-flashing on the parapets or chimneys is not allowed

Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs
 All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines
 Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls
Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.

NOTE: This permit is to resolve a violation concerning work begun without a permit for which a STOP WORK ORDER was issued. Work shall commence no more than 30 days after permit is issued. Work must be completed no more than 60 days after work begins. Owner will call VCC for final inspection upon completion of work.
