VCC General Work Permit

To retain and modify rooftop mechanical equipment & platform, catwalk, and rooftop hatch, per Architecture Committee approval of 03/10/2026, Vieux Carre Commission approval of 03/18/2026, and materials stamped VCC approved 04/09/2026.
NOTE: Rooftop mechanical equipment and platform originally approved under permit issued 03/26/2014.
Work includes:
• Installation of wood louver screening at mechanical platform. Screening to be painted to match the color of the roof
• Catwalk to be retained in existing footprint but reconstructed to feature steel supports, expanded metal mesh walking grate, and 38” tall metal mechanical guardrails. Guardrails to be painted to match the color of the roof
• Roof hatch opening to be retained in existing location. New metal roof hatch cover to be installed. Hatch cover to be painted to match the color of the roof.

NOTE: Permit issued in response to violations. Work shall commence within 30 days from the date of permit issuance. Work must be completed no more than 60 days after work begins. Owner will call VCC for final inspection upon completion of work. Penalty fees may apply because of improper or unauthorized work.
