I'm replacing rotten wood around the outside of my home including siding boards, balcony flooring and trim boards. For the balcony flooring, I'm going to use the historically accurate 1"x3" plastic flooring. The rotten clapboards are being replaced with hardie plank or cement board. The rotten trim, some of the posts boards and house trim boards on the balcony will be replaced. They will be identical in dimensions to the original. I use a mill shop that makes blades for me that match the original trim profile. I have the trim pieces made out of Mahogany and use two coats of oil based primer to seal them before attaching them. There is also a window sill that needs to be replaced as well.
