VCC General Work Permit

Enclose gable attic vents on Dauphine and Bourbon elevations as follows: cut bricks of compatible size, color, and porosity in half and install them in the voids in the wall, recessed one half depth to leave a reveal, using VCC mortar (attached). On Dauphine side, which is stuccoed, parge coat the new bricks on the outside using VCC formula to match overall wall appearance.
Install new 6" wide, 3-4" tall ventilation cap on rear roof slope between dormer and ridge. Metal must be compatible with existing nails, flashing, counterflashing, and rear addition standing seam roof in order to avoid galvanic corrosion.
Repair slate as needed to match existing in size, color, thickness, material, reveal and exposure.
