Back Courtyard: Demo and replace existing triangular raised patio (~2" high) made from reclaimed marble scrap pieces (~10ft long) in backyard with bricks. The bricks will be on sand laid in locked gravel. Pattern to match existing brick courtyard; new brick will be used when we donโt have existing brick to re-use that matches old brick in kind (e.g., Detroit or architectural salvage). Fill in two other triangular areas with brick to make level and match existing patternRef code 1W546Q
Middle Courtyard: Demo and replace existing 10 x 15 ft lowered brick section with a raised brick section that matches the existing elevation of remaining 2/3 of courtyard. The bricks will be on sand with locked gravel. Will re-use brick from current lower-elevated brick and new in-kind brick will be used if any additional brick is needed (e.g., Detroit or Architectural Salvage). Brick will be laid to match existing pattern of courtyard. Remove two sets of steps at rear elevation doors of main house and replace with wooden steps with ~3ft landing and equally spaced risers. Steps for rear elevation of main house to be in wood to better accommodate for access to under the house. Remove one set of steps at back cottage and replace with brick steps to match existing back cottage steps at other doors with equally spaced risers.
