VCC General Work Permit

To renovate building per attached materials stamped VCC approved 08/25/2022, including millwork replacement, roof repair, vegetation removal, and repointing.

**VCC: NEW MILLWORK CONCEPTUALLY APPROVED. SUBMIT MILLWORK DRAWINGS TO STAFF FOR FINAL REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION, ALLOWING FOR ADEQUATE LEAD TIME

Remove vegetation from masonry. Cut vegetation down and apply a weed and grass killer.
Remove dead roots after 1-2 days. Install new VCC mortar (formula attached) as needed where deteriorated
Repoint masonry utilizing mortar mixed and applied per the VCC standard detail sheet (attached)
All mortar to be mixed using the VCC recipe (attached) with a maximum of 1 part Portland Cement, to 3 parts lime, to 9 parts sand, and enough water to form a workable mix. Prepackaged mixes are not permitted. The resulting mix should range in color from off-white to beige but should not be grey in color.

MORTAR IS NOT TO BE APPLIED OVER THE FACE OF THE BRICKS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
