Application for permits to add one gas meter, one electrical meter, and one water meter. This building (1310-1312 Marengo St) was a 5-unit which was converted to 3-units in 2013. At present there are two electrical meters (one each for 1310 & 1312), two gas meters (one each for 1310 & 1312), and three water meters at the address (one for 1310 & two for 1312), but we need to add back one more of each meter to the 1310 side. The 1310 side is comprised of two separate apartments, one on the first floor, and one on the second floor, which are both currently on the same electrical, gas, and water meters, and these are the units we need to separate with the new meters. The 1312 side is a single-family home, and no changes are needed on that side of the building. The New Orleans Department of Safety & Permits, Zoning Division has verified the legal history of the building and stated that is permitted to be used as we intend (3-Unit Established Multi-Family Dwelling) in accordance with CZO Section 20.3.W.1.
