Pergola built correctly but without a CoA from the HDLC. The structure is at the rear of the property and not visible from the public right of way on Laurel Street (front of house). It is however visible from the public park adjacent to left side of single-family home at 3221 Laurel Street. We received a letter indicating that we needed to apply for a permit. We are eager to work with the HDLC to do what is correct in this situation. We would very much like to keep the pergola and are open to modifications as directed by the HDLC.
