VCC General Work Permit

MAIN HOUSE AND DEPENDENCY ROOF ONLY
Remove existing roofing material
Repair and/or replace underlayment as necessary
install new high teperature ice and water shield
Install new 12” x 18” natural Vermont slate (mottled green purple), using copper nails
Install/repair half round copper gutters in same locations if needed
install new copper/ lead pipes and flashing as needed
fabricate and install new flashing around skylight. skylight is prefiished and new flashing will be prefinished aluminum (ONLY ALLOWED IN THIS LOCATION)
Install/reinstall ceramic or concrete V-style or terra cotta ridge tiles. Replace broken tiles as needed, to match existing.
Metal cap-flashing on the parapets or chimneys is not allowed
GALLERY ROOF ONLY
new roofing material to be elasoflex layer, black in color, to terminate at wall with counter flashing copper. NEW MATERIAL IS NOT TO GO UP THE WALL.
Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs. All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines. Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls. Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
