This application is for an after-the-fact building permit related to electrical work to be performed on an existing four-unit residential building. The building has four living units, each intended to be separately metered.
Currently, three of the four units are individually metered and connected to Entergy. However, Unit 1A is receiving electrical power via a sub-feed from Unit 2B's Entergy meter, through a smaller, non-Entergy meter.
The scope of the electrician's work includes the removal of the smaller, non-Entergy meter currently serving Unit 1A, and the installation of a new, separate meter socket and enclosure to allow Entergy to assign an individual account for Unit 1A. This work brings the electrical metering configuration in line with the building’s four-unit setup, ensuring each unit has its own Entergy meter for separate billing.
I, the property owner, will act as the contractor for this after-the-fact building permit and will be submitting the Homeowner Affidavit.
This is not a new electrical service; Unit 1A is already fully powered. The purpose of the work is to correct the metering configuration for proper utility account setup.
