Renovation (Non-Structural) Permit

Selective removal and investigation of existing windows to support the exterior restoration of the Cathedral. The work includes removal of one upper Nave window and the bottom sash of a lower Nave window, along with the associated exterior projection. Removed components will be carefully stored on-site, and openings will be secured with painted plywood until the full restoration proceeds.

This investigation will require the use of exterior scaffolding within Pirates Alley. The purpose of the work is to assess the existing window structure and attachment conditions in order to better understand the scope of future restoration to both the openings and windows. The investigation will also support documentation of existing conditions and inform the design of appropriate permanent glazing protection as part of the exterior restoration.
