Renovation (Non-Structural) Permit
Interior renovations of the front suite of building into a hair salon. The renovations will have minor rearrangement of walls with some construction of new interior walls and door. Existing millwork will be demolished. All floor finishes will be changed. Walls will be painted gypsum board and the ceilings will be existing painted gypsum board or new acoustical tile set in painted existing grid system. Door hardware will be ADAAG compliant lever handles. Some new plumbing will be added including washing machine hookup and sinks. Existing Restroom toilet and sink will have fixtures changed out for ADAAG compliant fixtures. Three shampoo stations will be added and hair cutting stations as shown in the Drawings. All existing and new gypsum board and trim will be painted. New doors will be new solid core painted wood with Hol. Metal frames meeting ADAAG requirements. No closers will be used on interior doors. Ceiling lights will be rearranged as shown and new power outlets will be added. All electrical work will be done by or under the supervision of an electrician licensed in Orleans Parish. Emergency lights with battery backup will be added where they do not exist. Work is less than 50% of the building value. The existing front tenant space is vacant and the rear unit is occupied with a private gymnasium. Demising wall is CMU.Ref code TTPZHZ
