VCC General Work Permit

To replace roof of rear building and make other repairs as per materials stamped VCC approved 10/28/2022. Work includes:
• Remove existing cement fiber roofing material
• Repair and/or replace underlayment as necessary
• Install new ¬¬¬12” x 18” natural slate (gray/green), using galvanized nails
• Install/repair half round galvanized gutters and flashing
• Metal cap-flashing on the parapets or chimneys is not allowed
• Replace existing approximately 8’ section of damaged fascia to match existing
• Replace damaged section of iron railing to match existing
• Repair crack in existing balcony covering

Note: Use of copper nails and flashing highly recommended for longevity compared to galvanized
Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs
 All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines
 Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls
Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
