VCC General Work Permit

INSTALLATION NEW FORTIFIED SLATE ROOF
remove exisitng asbestos roof tiles and underlayment
redeck overly with 5/8" plywood
nail plywood deck using 3"ring shank full round head framing nails
install water and ice shield
install coper drip edge and fasten with copper nails
install new Hilltop Natural slate 18"x12" Sea Green/ gray green
remove and replce ridge tiles with Hecker V tiles
reseal chimney flashing. THE VCC DOES NOT ALLOW CHIMNEY CAP FLASHING. THE VCC DOES NOT ALLOW THE USE OF WATERPROOFING SEALANTS
install detachable gable vent cover- TO BE INSTALLED ON TEH INTERIOR OF THE ATTIC
Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs. All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines. Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls. Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
All repair/replacement work shall match existing in color, size, material, detail, profile and exposure.
