VCC General Work Permit

Remove and replace slate roof MIDDLE ROOF ONLY
remove exisitng sythetic slate roof
inspect decking and repair/ replace if necessay
install ice and water shield
Install new 12” x 16” natural slate (grey/green), using copper nails
remove existing metal valley and install 36"wide storm guard down center of vally. fabricate and install new copper valley and flahsing
fabricate and instaff new copper flashing at dormers
new copper in wall flashing at parapet
install new drip edge flashing at eve
Install/reinstall ceramic or concrete V-style or terra cotta ridge tiles.
Metal cap-flashing on the parapets or chimneys is not allowed

Note: Trash chutes are required for removal of debris from all roofs. All work must conform to standard VCC policies & guidelines. Permit does not allow for cap flashing on parapets, chimneys or surrounding walls.Torch-applied roofing is not permitted in the Vieux Carré.
