Renovation (Non-Structural) Permit

Fortified Roof (Main Roof)
- Remove, Haul, Tear - Off & Dispose of 1 Layer of Existing Roof.
- Nail the existing roof deck with 8d ring-shank nails at 4 in. o.c. per F-RR-3.
- Install Ice & Water Shield on Entire roof WeatherLock® Mat Self-Sealing Ice & Water Barrier on valleys and around
openings.
- Install new Fortified drip edge:
Eave drip edges shall extend 1 2 in. below sheathing and extend back on the roof a minimum of 2 in. The drip edge shall be
mechanically fastened to the roof deck at maximum of 4 in.
- Install double sided starter shingle roll on entire perimeter.

- Install Ridge Vent / Power Vents
-Remove Hecker Tiles and will not be re-installed to meet Fortified Requirements
- Install Eave intake Vents

Advantages: Bullet Boots come with rodent screen built in the top. This prevents rodents, birds, and other critters from
entering the vent. As well, the screen prevents unwanted debris from entering the vent
-Apply Caulk to All Flashings to Seal Properly and Avoid Corrosion.
