- Remove, Haul, Tear - Off & Dispose of 1 Layer of Existing Roof.
- Nail the existing roof deck with 8d ring-shank nails at 4 in. o.c. per F-RR-3.
- Install Deck Tape on decking seams throughout the entire roof.
- Install Weatherlock Owens Corning Ice & Water Shield per code.
WeatherLock® Mat Self-Sealing Ice & Water Barrier on valleys and around openings.
- Install RhinoRoof Synthetic Underlayment for added Protection Against Moisture & Wind Driven Rain.
(Bond break between shingles and Ice-and-Water shield)
- Install new Fortified drip edge:
Eave drip edges shall extend 1 2 in. below sheathing and extend back on the roof a minimum of 2 in.
The drip edge shall be mechanically fastened to the roof deck at maximum of 4 in.
- Install double sided starte shingle roll on entire perimeter.
