VCC General Work Permit

To renovate main building, service ell, and rear building and to construct new addition on rear of main building, per Architecture Committee approval of 01/23/2024, Vieux Carre Commission approval of 02/21/2024, and materials stamped VCC approved 07/26/2024. Work includes:
• Construction of new three-story addition on rear of building to be of similar mass to the previously existing enclosed gallery
• New addition to house mechanical equipment on its roof as well as on a third-floor cantilevered equipment “balcony”
• New addition to be clad in wood siding and feature new wood windows
• Other existing windows and doors to be repaired/replaced to match existing (unless otherwise noted in plans)
• New millwork to be installed in existing ground floor openings of rear building
• Installation of new lighting with the following criteria: 3000K color temperature, 80+ color rendering index, and 800-1200 lumens per bulb

NOTE: Changes or modifications to existing French doors in the service ell to be reviewed and permitted separately.
