VCC General Work Permit

Remove mailbox not in use from brick wall. Lay bricks in place of mailbox. Replace broken bricks on lower portition of wal from car accident per staff review and approval of bricks on site 7/22/24.
ALL JOINTS SHOULD MATCH HISTORIC PENCIL JOINTS IN SIZE AND COLOR OF MORTAR.
VOIDS IN THE BRICK ARE NOT TO BE FILLED WITH MORTAR. BROKEN, DETERIORATED BRICKS MUST BE REPLACED WITH BRICKS MATCHING THE PREVIOUS.
All mortar to be mixed using the VCC recipe (attached) with a maximum of 1 part Portland Cement, to 3 parts lime, to 9 parts sand, and enough water to form a workable mix. Prepackaged mixes are not permitted. The resulting mix should range in color from off-white to beige but should not be grey or white in color.

MORTAR IS NOT TO BE APPLIED OVER THE FACE OF THE BRICKS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Doing so will result in a STOP WORK ORDER being placed on the property and violation case will be opened on the property.
